Glossy Text Photoshop cs4 Tutorial
Make your text layer, and type what you want. I typed Blissful-Bytes.
Step 2:
Make a layer above your text layer, right click and select create clipping mask.

Step 3:
Text looks boring right? Okay, now to the glossy part :]
take your pen tool from your toolbar, youre going to make two points, one right before the text, and one after the text. When you make the point after the text, pull the handle out until you like the way that the path is sitting, then make a circle around and CTRL click to make the path whole.

STEP 4:
right click on your path, a drop down list will appear, select fill path.
Now, a window will appear with Fill Path options, make sure your foreground color is set to white, and that under content in the window the fill is set to forground color.
click ok
Step 5: Right click on your path again, the drop down list will appear again, click delete path and set the opacity of the clipping mask layer to 20-30%.
FINISHED PRODUCT!:
note:when you save, make sure you save it as a .png file. If you save as a .jpg file it will NOT look right.
